Embry-Riddle Language Institute Information

Class Attendance

Regular attendance in class and punctuality help you to learn more, and so we expect you to be on time for all of your classes. Plan to arrive a few minutes early, and be ready to learn as the class begins.

In addition, if you are here on a student visa, the U.S. government requires you to attend your classes. It's the law. For this reason, it is very important that you do not miss class.

The evidence is quiet clear: students who come to class regularly and who work steadily will succeed in improving their English. Students with poor study habits eventually find that they do not succeed in the university environment. We encourage you to quickly develop good, regular study habits to ensure your success.

Grades

These grades are used in your classes: "A" Superior; "B" Above average; "C" Average; "D" Below Average "F" Failure. If you stop going to classes an "F" grade will be given. We give you a grade report online at the end of each semester for you to judge how you are meeting your study goals.

Privacy of Records

Your privacy is important to us, so all of your grades, progress reports, and test results are confidential. Nothing will be given out by telephone;information will be given only to a person, company, embassy, or office for which you sign a release form.
