About the Embry-Riddle Language Institute

The English Language Institute offers an opportunity to all international students who have completed high school and meet admission requirements to learn English.  Classes are held at the Daytona Beach campus all year-round.  Language programs consist of intensive English preparation for university studies.  All students are pre-tested and placed in one of our four levels of study - beginning through advanced - to meet their language learning needs.  Classes provide intensive instruction for communication in reading, writing, grammar, speaking, and listening.  Advisement and preparation for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) are also offered as well as Aviation English courses.

Each course participant will acquire academic writing skills and vocabulary; demonstrate the ability to use English in an academic environment; show an improved fluency in English through interview and test results; show increased speaking ability in English; and become familiar with techniques for the continuing acquisition of English.
