The English Pronunciation classes are offered for six week periods during normal university calendar dates

All of our English Pronunciation classes are staffed with professional instructors with Masters Degrees in linguistics. Our classes are FREE for all students, staff, and faculty of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

RECURRING ENGLISH PRONUNCIATION CLASSES

American English Pronunciation 1: This introductory workshop is provided as a service to international ERAU faculty, staff, and students who are interested in gaining a general overview of American English pronunciation, stress, and intonation. This six-week workshop focuses primarily on the common pronunciation rules associated with speaking American English and practice of those rules. Some language-specific problems will also be covered in the workshop.

American English Pronunciation 2: This course is also designed primarily for international faculty, staff, and students who are interested in further practice of various aspects of American English pronunciation. This six-week workshop will put greater emphasis on personal pronunciation issues that the students have, such as difficult consonants, vowels, stress and intonation. It is highly recommended that students attend the American English Pronunciation 1 workshop before attending this class.

American English Tutorials: These 1-on-1 tutorial sessions are recommended for faculty, staff, and students who have attended the pronunciation workshops and would like further practice and assistance with individual pronunciation issues. These sessions can be arranged around the schedule of the instructor and student.
